I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I figured I would ask.

I have noticed a pattern that whenever I use my iPhone (happens to both my 7 and SE) while streaming Spotify using my AirPods, the phone gets pretty warm. This coincides with the battery percentage decreasing as well. I checked the battery in the settings and Spotify is using about 25%.

I have been streaming music for about two hours now, and my battery has gone from 100% to 68% during that time. I have been texting and checking email on my phone as well, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Has anyone else encountered this when streaming music? This same situation did not happen when I was using the wired Bose earbuds I have.

It is the opposite for me. My iPhone stays cool as a cucumber while I am playing music with the Airpods. To be honest, it seems almost like it has no effect on battery life at all. That is probably not the case, but there is so little change it seems that way.

I am mostly playing local music or music from iCloud rather than Spotify.
