Yeah you can do all of it.

While on a call tap the home button and navigate to the menus and stuff as you normally would. When youre done tap home again and press the strip at the top of the screen to go back to the call menu.

is it possible to navigate to your recent call log and if needed, your contacts list?
Thanks

You can navigate to your contacts list by tapping the dedicated "Contacts" button that will come up whilst on a call.

You CANNOT access your recent calls list, as tapping Home and then "Phone" simply takes you BACK to the call (the same as the top green bar would), and doesn't give you the normal phone options while you're on a call.

No, you can't receive business cards (yet).

If someone emails you their contact information in the vcard format, you can import their information straight into your iPhone contacts list from the email in the Mail app.

You'd have to do name, numbers, address and email etc. separately though, wouldn't you? I actually thought all email links and numbers did in emails was allow you to create a message/call?

SMS appears to be different though, with the arrow coming up at the right allowing you to create or add to existing contact.

No, everything is already tagged correctly in vcard format, so the iPhone imports every field as it's already labeled. Go ahead and give it a try - I exported my own card in Address Book as a vcard and sent of to myself as an attachment in an email, opened it in my iPhone, and it offered to import the information right into the contacts list. The trick is getting the people you meet to send you their information in that format.

That's really cool then! Thanks for making us aware of this. I don't have chance to try it now, but I will tomorrow.

This is my biggest complaint with the phone.

This should be the number one priority. It's a basic function that is really important. If on bluetooth and I miss a call I have to hang up and see who it was and call back. It's so dumb. This is way more important than copy/paste, A2DP, MMS or Turn-By-Turn. Arrrg! So frustrating.
