Has anyyone else's whine/buzz when not connected to the power adapter increased? Mine used to be very quiet, only audible if nothing was playing at all in a dead silent room. Now it's quite louud- annoying loud. Background noise can't cover it up anymore. Anyone relate?

Yes, on most cases the buzz is louder or only exists while running off of battery power.

I wouldn't say louder, just a different frequency....of course, the higher frequency when plugged in sounds quieter to most people's ears...

This is also likely why people say theirs only whines while unplugged....they probably can't hear the higher frequency (I know at least one person who thought mine had no whine when plugged in).
