I just learned about the Whistle phone app and like it a lot, but I need to get a headset/mike. I checked the Whistle FAQ and found that the Whistle app apparently doesn't support Bluetooth (see below). So, I was going to get a wired headset, but I found a few posts that said that the headset/mike would not disable the built-in mike, making this unworkable. Is there any way to get the Whistle phone app to work with a headset/mike? Are there any good wired over-the-ear headset/mikes that work. Thanks.

EDIT:

I found this somewhat odd handset which claims to work with the iPad, so perhaps a standard handset/mike would be OK:

Can I use speakerphone or a bluetooth headset with Whistle ?

Speakerphone and bluetooth compatibility is currently supported in the Mac OS X and WIndows versions only. We are actively working on including this functionality on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad versions.

If you would like to use Whistle hands-free on your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, simply plug in the headphones that came with your device into the headphone jack. The headphones included with these devices include a microphone and allow you to make hands free calls with Whistle.

ya that should work. I dont have Whistle, but I do have that handset, and it's great for Skype on the iPad. Also have the Sennheiser MM60i which I also recommend as a iPad headset.

Thanks for the response. I checked the Sennheiser site, and it states that the microphone on the MM 60 as well as a number of their other headphones will work with the iPad. Sennheiser is a quality company, so I should be good with any of their offerings. Thanks again.
