thinking of upgrading my Air to a 10.5 iPad Pro

Does anyone find that the black bezels show up the not quite black blacks on movie content vs the white bezels?

Had a play in the Apple store this week and in their lighting you could see the difference between black bezel and black movie bars

Horse dung. I had the same fears, but still went ahead and got the white bezels this time (my 1st gen had black). Believe me, you don’t see the bezels at all, contrary to an iphone which has a much smaller screen then noticing the bezels is unavoidable.

I went from a white bezel iPad to a black bezel iPad and couldn't be happier. I've always gotten black bezel iPhones, because it just makes the screen stand out more. With as much white space that there is in iOS now, I notice far more the whites not matching than I do the blacks. Admittedly, though, I don't watch a lot of movies on my iPad.

Optical illusion.
This ^^^

A few years back I've read studies comparing the white and black bezel edges. What I've gathered is that if its a lot of movie watching, the black is optimal as it helps immerse one into the film, where the white border usually acts as a contrast and could divert the eyes easier. As far as what actually appears on the screen, I think its the same regardless of bezel :p it may just be your perception based on the above statement.

I have a 10.5" iPad Pro with black bezels and I cannot see anything along the edges of the bezels when watching movies/TV shows (and I watch a fair few, as I travel quite a bit, hence the iPad).

It's a perfect device for watching stuff whilst travelling, given the light weight and excellent battery life.

Everything looks washed out on the white iPad. Another negative is that the bezel looks yellow when using in low light. Just get the black, you won't regret it.

I went from black to white and I like it. Can’t really tell on the blacks as they’re immensely improved from the Airs screen I had to begin with.

I like to have different stuff over the years though. I get bored of the same thing.

Actually no it's not. I've owned the white one for one miserable week, and believe me I was not a happy camper.
