This white dot ( a lot bigger than a pixel) shows up on my screen when the dock is in view, but when the dock is hidden it's not there. Its about the size of 9 pizels put together.

Can someone explain this to me? Is there a way to fix this?

Probably won't show up in a screen shot, can you use a camera or be more specific?

Have you tried restarting?

i was in the process of opening up my email and sending the picture of my desktop, but when I opened up Mail, the white dot disappered... yeah that strange. I hope it doesn't come back.

here is the picture though.

Meanwhile, is there an explanation for this?

If it comes back, try restarting or relaunching the Dock.

To relaunch the Dock, open Terminal and type:

killall Dock

and hit Enter.

Just a suggestion. :)

LOL yes it's safe. It just closes the Dock, which automatically restarts immediately after.

This particular problem has never happened to me, but if the problem is with the Dock, resetting it never hurts.
