White iPhone and the iMac Releases :(

As you likely saw on the front page, rumor has it that the white iPhone will be releasing on April 26th.

Since that is right in our timeframe of most recent rumors for the new iMac, I just wanted to post this in advance to warn people (and myself) from getting too excited when the site goes down next Tuesday.

We could very likely get blue balled when the site goes down and comes up with nothing more than a different colored iPhone. :(
 
In my opinion....sales strategy. There is no way in hell it would take them close to a year to get the front and back of the iphone manufactured in white.

They got large sales for months with the initial release. Then they got a huge boost in sales a few months back from the addition of Verizon. Now they will have another boost. It's all strategy.

Yeah lots of people would have purchased a black iPhone, and now they're going to get a white one too :rolleyes:

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but I'm not talking about iPhone sales.

I'm just saying when the site goes down on April 26th we can't get our hopes up that it's because of the iMac refresh.:eek:
 
We should definitely set up an "iMac Waiters Anonymous". We'll need a support group to get ourselves through the next few disappointing Tuesdays. I'll supply the peppermint tea and cucumber sandwiches.;)

So question, would Apple release 2 products on the same day? If the white iPhone drops on the 26th, would they release the new iMacs the same day? Or would they do it a week earlier (19th) or a week or 2 later (3rd or 10th)?
 
waiting along with everyone else

This is like watching paint dry. I should know better. My Windows desktop machine has been hanging with increasing regularity, and will respond to nothing but unplugging it. One of these times it's going to wake up in a seriously bad mood and be scrambled and require a fresh install. I made up my mind to purchase an iMac to replace it, only to see on this site that new models are coming and I should wait. So I check for updates, like picking a scab, and hope the iMac release beats my Windows machine death march.

Wow, impressive stuff. I wonder if they'd hire my great - grandfather? Would it get on page one? "Apple hire 130 year old man. Just for purpose of keeping iMac secrets."

The thing is, if Apple truly launch white iPhone along with iMac, what'll they put on the main webpage? white iPhone? or new iMac? It couldn't be both. Today it's iPad 2 as you can see

That's why i think they'll kill and overshadow each other if they launched at the same day, don't you think?

Apple silent updated the iMac's, Mac Pro's and the ACD! This was last Summer! They can and they will close the store down for these products! The'll put the best product on the front page, or they'll have it scroll between the two, or three!:D
 
For those looking for the answer to the IMAC refresh consider this:

Apple releases new products and updates in time frames which benefit earnings periods for the company. A perfect example of this was the release of the IPad 2 earlier than the 12 month cycle, to be exact 19 days before the end of the quarter. Logic would substantiate that this was done as a boost to the quarters earnings. So when it comes to the Imac refresh Apples earnings on WED could provide some answers. If the earnings are not a 'blow out' then the refresh could be in the next 2 weeks and if the earnings are a 'blow out' then Apple's in no rush and anytime till the end of the quarter (june 30) is possible.

Yeah but they need to establish thunderbolt in the market before summer i think, cause developers will release thunderbolt products in summer. The macbook pro is not enough....

I'm just curious, how can you be so sure with the date? And do you know the spec already? I'm really interested on hi end 27" standard imac. Will it be i7? what's the gpu, how much RAM. This waiting thing drive me crazy
 
No specifics I just know the date! I should ask my uncles gradpa and find out, but I wouldnt hold my breath ;)
