Anyone else worried how quickly and easily this thing will discolor and dirty and stain? Will it have ways/means to prevent such things?

Reading the posts on here is almost as fun as reading the commentary on Yahoo news articles.

So yeah, these rubber bands will get dirty fast for sure. I mean look at the Apple iPhone silicone cases. Even the leather ones get super dirty.

We have no idea if they will show dirt over time or not. Clean them if they do?

I have the leather case on my iP6... looks identical to the day I bought it, with no cleaning required.

You can't wipe discoloration and stains clean. I'm imagining the White Band will yellow over time and will look nasty.

Everything's wears over time, it won't be perfect forever.

However, there is an entire model of  Watch that is sold with these band, alongside a model that costs five digits.

It will hold up fine.

I'm assuming it's made from the same material as Apple's silicone cases, don't they hold up well overtime? Meaning color wise it doesn't pick up dirt easily?

I have a white silicon case on my iPhone and it still looks like new. I just wipe it down when I clean my phone, so I don't think the white bands will discolor. I did have a red leather case on an iPad once and it looked horrible after only one month. I think the lighter color leather cases get stained easily from the oils in our hands. I'm hoping that won't be the case with the leather watch bands, particularly since I'm considering the Stone Leather band.

Yeah, I'm really hoping Apple is stepping up their game when it comes to the quality of the bands. Perhaps that is why the prices are so cray.

I've had a white band on my Suunto Core for almost two years now and it still looks brand new. I wear it almost every day, workout, hike, hunt, run, bike, etc never had any issues with it staining or gathering dirt. Because of it I plan on getting a space grey Sport and extra white band.

Is that one made of the same material as Apple's?? If so, that is indeed good news.

I had a white g shock for years and it looked good.

I think the factor is how porous the rubber is, or how slick and hard it is. I don't think Apple would overlook this, and other watch companies do just fine with this issue.

Unfortunately I'm not sure, but I would imagine whatever material Suunto used for this band (which I bought as a replacement for the black one it came with for ~$30) is equal to or less than whatever Apple is relying on now. I could be wrong though.
