My iPad Pro That I bought on July 2017 after 14 months of normal use gave a factory defect. a white spot 1 inch above the home Botton of 1,5 inches. I spoke with the technical support of an apple store and after several test The technician agreed that the problem is a defect of the iPad. He said that the iPad have to be substituted. unfortunately is out of guarantee and it has been impossible to be substituted.

I asked the extention of the guarantee because the defect is big and generated from factory defect. according to a forum many many other iPad Pro same model had the same problem equal to mine. as you can check on this web forum: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ipad-10-5-pro-white-spot-on-screen.2117667/ The majority had the problem covered from apple care and the iPad replaced.
My question is how can we convince Apple to extend the guarantee for this product??? Since the problem is common and from the factory?

I'm sure this is very frustrating. If it's not driving you completely nuts, I would recommend you try to be patient for a few months. Historically when defects like this have shown up Apple has *eventually* created a policy (not always public) for replacing these defective units. If you wait a few months you may find their story changes.

In the future, I recommend trying to use a credit card that automatically extends your warrant to avoid this situation. Several of mine double the warranty period.

I took mine to apple store in the uk today (15 months old) and they are replacing under consumer law as defect
Same white spot issue.
[doublepost=1552213437][/doublepost]Do you mean that apple repaired the iPad because there is a specific law in UK? Do you think I can ask the same in Italy? will you tell me more about this law? Thx

Have you ever actually filed a claim with Apple using the credit card extended warranty?

It would be fine, but I live in Italy and our credit card compnies doesn't the same benefit you have in the States, I still hope in Apple courtesy to recognize a native defect..
