I came across these two themes on iClarified and they look amazing. The installation instructions, however, look like a bear. If you're running either of these themes, would you mind sharing your impressions, especially as to whether doing so has slowed down your phone. Thanks.

Im planning on trying this tomorrow, I ran across it this morning as well.

I will let you know.

Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you. Also, please let me know how much difficulty you anticipate uninstalling the theme.

For everyone's reference, here's one of the two themes (available at http://www.quickpwn.com/2009/08/whitoken.html:

Im jailbreaking my old 3g right now so I can do this...

I have a feeling its going to slow it down horribly.

Ok so I am starting the process now. Lots of stuff to install.

My first initial reaction is this though: I would be hesitant to install this on my 3gs that I use everyday because you need to install 45 blanks using iBlank. iBlank is notorious for basically making the blanks permanent on your phone; a JB is needed to delete them. So if I ever wanted to revert to a diferent theme, well that is out of the question.

Does anyone know if there is a better alternate to iBlank?

Great, keep the impressions coming (sorry to use you as my guinea pig, but courage was never my strong suit!). Thanks again and if anyone else has taken the dive, please share your thoughts/ observations!

i installed it yesterday. it wasn't that big of a pain. getting the blank icons put in the correct place was the biggest issue. once it was done, it looked great.

that being said, IMO it's kinda like the iNav themes... they look great, but aren't very practical. i wouldn't have installed this on my everyday 3GS, so i installed it on my not-in-use 3G.

if you don't mind restoring at some point in the future if you don't like this theme, i would say try it. it does look nice!

I agree with you. Just finished installing it, it wasn't that big of a deal. My initial impression is this: it is awesome and well put together. The problem is that if you want to customize it for your own needs and apps, (i.e. put different apps on the dock, or in the main "big" button on the left) it is a pain and requires some photoshop skills. I think I will play around with it in my free time, and see what is available from the official forum. If I can actually get it customized to the way I like it, I may consider putting it on my 3gs...
