My number is "12" on my Cydia icon. I do the ones I recognize, but most of them are things I dont even remember installing like

BigBoss Source
Dev-Team
Erica Utils
iSpazio
libhide
mobile substrate

I dont know what any of these are....Why update??

Other things you use are dependant on them. A lot of apps use Mobilesubstrate (backgrounder for example). A lot of popular apps come from BigBoss. They're already on your phone and you obviously need them for other things to work so you might as well update.

Well, if you go to Cydia > Manage > Packages and look up those names and read the details, you'll see what they are.

You can then make a wiser decision as to whether or not to update them. ;)

Well, I remember a thread saying an iSpazio update was breaking other things. I'm not eager to update things that I am not aware I even have. I just wanted an idea before I do it.

MobileSubstrate is the environment that allows all those cool hacks to work so update that.

The only thing that Ive noticed that broke anything was the badges in Backgrounder. I think you'd be safe updating all those things, but just read the more info and change logs on all those items.

PS. Are you on GSB?

Well, I updated backgrounder. I dont use themes, so I dont care it broke those. I'll update the others then I guess. GSB?? That's the date rape drug. No, I dont take it...:D

I have been

Hesitant to do the AppSync for OS 3.0 upgrade...it says beware...

Anybody have any issues with it?
