I got a letter from ATT today stating that i can upgrade my phone :D
by going online or gor to a store
I think am a get a refurbished 8525 for $150 as a back up phone
this is a sweet deal
I love ATT :p

PS: When i got my iphone i applied for a premier account and they approve it maybe it's because of that who knows ?

There are some good deals on the 8525 and blackjack right now but I would confirm you sim card will be able to work once set up for the iPhone.

Yes, buying the iPhone doesn't remove your ability to get a new phone upgrade after the usual period of time. I just myself got 2 free Nokia 6126s which are going on Ebay as soon as I activate my iPhone. I figured as I'm signing a new 2 year contract, I might as well get the free phones to effectively subsidize my iPhone purchase.

where can i find them i couldn't find them online ??

I too got the letter about being able to upgrade... but correct me if I am wrong here, please-

Doesn't it seem like this letter crossed in the mail fromt he time I bought and activated my iPhone? I mean, at the time the letter was printed yeah I was eligible, but now I just signed a 2 year deal with my iPhone 2 weeks ago, so I am no longer eligible, right?

If I can take this letter in and say hey I just got this, do you think they'll let me get a new phone and sign another 2 year to replace the 2 year agreement I just signed? They really have no incentive to do that for me :p But hey I don't have a whole lotta money lately (too much spending! lol) and could use an extra couple bucks selling a new phone on eBay

tha be sweet if i can upgrade hehehehe :D

Iphone owners can definetely upgrade

I did not get any letter from ATT but this post prompt me to check my account online to see if I am eligible for an upgrade.
The answer is yes!

I have two phone lines in my contract. I, an iphone owner, am eligible for an upgrade while my wife who upgraded about a year ago to LG CU500 is NOT. It says that she will be eligible in Jan 2008. I guess since we paid full price for the iphone, they are letting us upgrade.

I also got my first bill after upgrading to Iphone and there is no $18 upgrade charge. THis is sweet guys.
