Well, you tagged this thread with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but I'll respond anyway since I have a 17 Pro.

I am happy with my purchase. I went with the Cosmic Orange color and the base storage option, which I think is 256GB.

What I wasn't happy about was the Apple case choices. I bought the orange silicon case and returned it because it was too bright and orange for me. I also bought and returned the Apple clear case because it's not fully clear. I didn't like the large white panel on the back. I bought a clear case from Spigen and I am happy with that.

Got mine yesterday too soon to say. Did get UAG case for it with kickstand that looks cool. Paid 400 bucks with trade in and tax. Got case free because I had Amazon gift cards. Also had 200 dollars in Apple Gc's from my hotel stays. I always go with the PRO..Also 16 pro screen protector fit on my 17 pro,

Love my new Air !

Battery life is amazing.

Much lighter & thinner = better for my arthritic hands.

Goodbye 16 Pro!

I bought the Air in the sky blue (but it's really white...) to replace my 14 pro max and so far, every time I pick it up I've got a feeling I haven't had since the iPhone X: Wow... This is a huge step forward...
Haven't really been on trips or taken a lot of pictures with it, but in general I take my Sony DSLR when I know I'll be taking pictures, so I hope it's going to be "good enough" for the occasional picture.

I’m very happy with my 17 Pro Max and know it’ll serve me well the next 4 - 5 years 🙂

Upgrading from my 13 Pro Max allowed me the following benefits:
  • 12gb RAM (fantastic buffer for long term performance so future iOS updates don’t cause planned obsolescence)
  • 5,000+ mAh battery (great amount so when you keep it long term and the battery wears down, you still have lots of buffer for good battery life)
  • USB-C (I can finally have just 1 cable for everything)
  • Brighter display outdoors for visibility (3000 nits)
  • Smaller bezels for a more immersive screen
  • Latest A19 chip with years of software support and faster performance
  • Better photo & video quality with all 3 back cameras now having upgraded 48mp sensors
  • 8x telephoto camera
  • Action mode recording
  • Much improved front camera for FaceTime calls
  • Matte metal frame (no shiny frame like 13 PM has with tons of fingerprints)
  • Apps ability to use the Dynamic Island
  • 80% charge limit (better long term battery health)
  • Smarter Siri in the future or other AI software features

..... every time I pick it up I've got a feeling I haven't had since the iPhone X: Wow... This is a huge step forward...
.....
100% how I feel after years carrying 2 Pro phones (personal and work) 5 days a week on my belt.

Love the lightweight Air - my co workers have started asking our boss to get new Air phones for everyone since the 14PM is getting sluggish....

I use the 14PM for camera duties and hardly use the Air for photos.

Air battery life is 2x the 14PM which is astouding!

Exactly! For what it is the Air is an amazing example of what a company can do to miniaturize the iPhone and make it very thin yet strong so that it does not "bend". Apple has finally made an amazing and thin iPhone that is very comfortable to hold and makes a statement for those who see this iPhone.

It takes great pictures however if I need to get serious on picture taking, I have my DSLR kit to take for serious picture taking duties.

Same, I will take my Canon DSLR with prime & pro lenses for real photos and action videos.

For me, the Air is a "point and shoot" camera - I don't need any fancy features - never used it on the 16 Pro.

This is EXACTLY how I have been with my 15 Pro Max which is why I decided on getting my Air. In the week I have been using my new Air, I have not had ANY regret in getting my new iPhone. In fact, I have a deeper appreciation with every passing day as I am loving just how strong this iPhone is and how thin and light it is. I love the titanium frame this iPhone has and as far as I am concerned, still look at this iPhone as a premium iPhone which works perfectly for my use. :)
