I have just switched from T-Mobile to Cingular to get the iPhone. I was just wondering how many new customers AT&T has gotten after the iPhone's release?!?!

*Did you switch Carriers? What Carrier did you have previously? For how long?

I switched from a Verizon contract ($175 ETF). I've heard a lot of bad about Cingular/AT&T but the only company I dislike more than MS is Verizon, so AT&T will have to be absolutely unimaginably awful to be worse. I see red (no pun intended) when I think of Verizon. They may have the best coverage (I'd argue that, but that's what a lot of people say) but everything else about them, the phones, the service, the marketing, the billing, is incredibly bad.

I've already bought my iPhone, but I'm debating if I want to cancel my old account, or muddle along with 2 phones for a while. My other phone is a Windows Mobile phone w/about 6 months left on the contract. If I keep the other phone until the contract is up, I will downgrade my current calling plan on it. If I cancel my other contract (and port my # to the iPhone), I'll probably get a 3G card for my laptop to supplement the iPhone. I'll probably get a Windows Mobile phone as well and swap the SIM when necessary.

I switched from tmobile.

same monthly cost + I get a data plan now.

I also have one more bar then tmobile gave me at my house.

win.
win.
