Who has the base model 14" MacBook Pro M3 Pro (11/18/512)?
What was your previous computer before it?
Why did you buy this model over the 14" MacBook Pro M3 or a certified refurbished MacBook Pro M2 Pro (10/16/512GB)?

Bought this machine for my wife. She came from a 2018 Air. Bought this because I wanted her to have >8GB of RAM, and this one was available in store; would have had to order the M3 with RAM upgrade, and she was itching for a new one right away.

Because black is MUCH better looking, as it hides the ugly HDMI port

Also I highly dislike products where the chassis is designed for much better components but they removed them to reduce cost, like for example the 15w M3 chip in a chassis that could otherwise support a 60W+ M3 Max

This is my first Mac. I've been on Windows my whole life. Actually I bought a base model 14" M2 Pro in October but returned it after 3 weeks when I saw the M3 event. Luckily Apple accepted the return as I was over the 2 week return period. I bought the base model M3 Pro for the same amount of money as the M2 Pro model I had.

I got the base model 14" M3 Pro because I wanted Space Black and 18 GB of RAM. The extra USB-C port doesn't hurt either. My use case is light stuff like browsing the Internet, Microsoft Office, music/movie streaming, chatting, etc.

I had a desktop PC before this. It got very outdated and I replaced it with this MacBook.

I have this machine and honestly I'm quite impressed, expecially by battery life. Coming from a M2 MacBook Pro 13
