Who hosts YOUR website and YOUR email?

I've started a trial of MobileMe but am having a nightmare in getting mydomain.com AND an email address of me@mydomain.com.

I have MobileMe hosting the site, 1and1.co.uk supplying the domain (and pointing at MobileMe) and, at the moment, no-one supplying me with email cos I can't make it work.

So, to further my knowledge, how do YOU do it and who do YOU have hosting your site and email?

Go sign up for a cheap hosting package someplace, you can host a whole bunch of sites and have thousands of email address for less than the crappy MobileMe service.

But my website isn't http://www.me.com - so I don't want that!

I want http://www.mydomain.com and me@mydomain.com

That's what I thought, but if I'm going to have a website, it's nice to have Apple host it and get the iPhone syncing. But I'm prepared to look at other options - so who are you with?

I'm with bravenet, and I'm very happy with them. They make everything easy. However, when my contract is up, I will be moving to hostgator; they allow greater functionality (shell access for one).

I host my own domain & email with a colocated server - strangely everything works perfectly

The costs aren't actually that high when you look at the benefits you get..

I'm hosted with MediaTemple (mt) , been with them a couple of years now.
So far, they've offered an absolute first class service and downtime is almost zero!
