I got the Magic Keyboard today. I’m trying to see how long I can go without using the touch screen. Darn it, lost already! Actually I’m trying to do my best to learn all the trackpad and control/option/cmd/space bar actions As fast as I can.
I got mine yesterday and really do like the trackpad options and gestures. This is making the iPad Pro feel a lot more like a notebook, particularly since the keyboard also is really nice. I keep finding myself reaching to the screen to do things that are easily done on the trackpad itself. It’s really funny trying to adapt the workflow.
It doesn’t close the app it just removes the app from the quick switcher. The app is still there running just FYIThere isn’t a way to close an app with the keyboard, unfortunately. A lot of that is because iOS works differently than MacOS. Some people do it, but most don’t close apps all the time.
The only way to close an app with the keyboard is to use Control + Tab to cycle through the apps...then once you get to the app that you want to close, use Control+Q and that will close that app.
Got my MK today and I keep finding myself reaching for the screen to tap at something, only to realize halfway that I can use the trackpad. Gonna take some getting used to, but I love it so much. So glad Apple made this.
Kinda like cleaning internal organs with external disinfectants.I’m starting a “Eating Solid Foods from Drinking Glasses Challenge” for anyone looking for more ways to subvert design intentions.
