Who is not counted in Google Analytics?

Hi, I've just added Google Analytics to my site as it seems to provide far more useful data than the stats package that is provided by my webhost. Although this is only my second day, the stats I have received from Google really differ with my webhosts or stat press on my wordpress blog. What I am trying to do is work out why? I am using the default javascript code which has not been modified, it is added to every page I have.

I think i've come up with two ideas at the moment:
Firstly, I don't believe it includes stats from robots. I had a difference between google & web hosts of about 900 sessions and the robots seemed to account for that.
Secondly, am i right in thinking that as the script is javascript visitors not enabling javascript will not be recorded?

Can anyone else come up with any other suggestions?

it could also be other users like myself who use adblock to block the urchin.js file, or whatever it is they use to check visitors with.

Thanks, Just been looking into that, very interesting. That would account for some firefox/mozilla visitors. It has made me think about what would happen if someone has set their browser to not accept cookies. I imagine the script would fail to record anything if it can't use a cookie.

Yeah, the MacRumors site always causes a bunch of unrchinTracker not found errors in the error console window. I love AdBlock and NoScript.

I use awstats for my web server, which analyzes the apache log file rather than needing to add JavaScript files to all your pages, though some of those stats scripts are able to pick up more useful information.
