Who is responsible for iTunes tv show season passes?

I like it to watch my US TV shows very early in Germany. Apple does release new episodes 24 hours after the tv release in the USA. When you have the season pass you can watch the episodes immediately.

But they also have a problem. Don’t know if it’s only in Germany. Or in other countries too. They forget to publish new episodes very often. In the US Store they are always available. But in Germany they sometimes take weeks to release new episodes. They always say that it takes only 24 hours.

I have bought a lot of season passes and have this problem. I wrote to the support and they told me to contact the tv channel in the USA of my shows. Err... Yes. That’s my job and the channels do really care about someone outside the USA. We have others like Amazon, Google Play or Maxdome who are cheaper and they always release new episodes in time. Only Apple doesn’t do that every week with every show. And they tell me that they cannot do anything and I have to fix that problem by myself. That’s really not funny.

What do you think about that? And who is responsible for the releases in the iTunes Store? Apple itself or the tv channels? And why does Apple take our money and don’t give a s*** about releasing that episodes in time?

It's not a unique problem. It is chaotic. Apple has little control over when an independent studio decides to release a show to a specific geographic region, depending on the contract. They have more control over Apple TV+, but who controls what is part of the contract negotiations with the studio. I would assume Amazon Prime exclusive shows gives Amazon more control, but I suspect it is not absolute. iTunes is just the grocery store in most cases. If farmers don't deliver any cucumbers then there won't be any available.

The iTunes Store is always the one which „forgets“ to release a new episode while others like Amazon and Maxdome always release them in time. Apple is like „give us your money and shut up later“. ?

A week later and still no new episodes of 2 of my shows. I wrote to the support, they don’t want to help me. Wrote a few times to the iTunes Store as a feedback, didn’t help. Don’t know what else to do. Not buying shows anymore in the iTunes Store and watching them with VPN on the websites of the TV channels?
