Who is sticking with iOS 4.3.3?

Not wishing to stir up an argument or appear a Luddite but wondered how others felt?

Everytime I log back on here today there seems to be more problems/complaints reported with iOS5 - understandable I guess with any massive new rollout as more people 'upgrade' but lots of people (in spite of the *new*) features are bemoaning the options that have been removed from 4.3.3

For me the iPod Touch has always worked perfectly as it is and I have it set just how I like it with no wish for the cloud or other additions.

I remember reading numerous topics following the upgrade to 4.3.3 from the earlier iOS and people who wished they had never upgraded?
 
Depends if you want or need any of the new features.

Personally I havent had any problems with IOS5 (been using it since Beta 6) and think is the single biggest improvement to IOS so far.

I could never go back, services such as iCloud, iMessage, etc just add so much more to the experience.
 
...after the battery reports I think I will stay on 4.3 with my iPhone 4 for a while...
 
The ideal combination for me, tried, proven & trouble free:

People with something to complain about are easier heard.

I'm happy as a clam after upgrading to iOS5 and 10.7.2 on my Mac. My iDevices are noticeably more responsive, all the new features are excellent and iCloud works like a charm across my iPhone, iPad and Macs. Setup was easy as pie - truly never had an easier time with such a major software update before. Kudos to the entire Apple team.

Thats what I thought! Cant understand what the problem is, everything is faster and better than ever. Ive not had one single issue. Strange!
 
the reason 4.x.x slowed down the iP3G was because it was no longer supported, whereas the 3GS is going to be supported for at least 9-12 more months as it will be sold during that time, also it's performing perfectly on 5.0 so far.

I don't know what features have been removed from 4.3.5? just more features added.
 
Phone is already on 5.0.

My iPad 2 is staying on 4.3.3 for the time being because there's no way to jailbreak 5.0, and I like having a jail broken iPad. :)

You are EXTREMELY wise to wait for an additional bug fix update. I sure wish I had! There is a HUGE problem with location services on the iPod Touch, which almost got me killed this past weekend.

I understand that on the Touch and the iPad WiFi only that location services is run from a crowdsourced database of WiFi signals. Well, that's fine but it seems the database from iOS 4.3.X has been abandoned and not carried over to 5.0. The location services can now almost NEVER find me, when it used to work very well. Only when I am in WiFi database intensive places, like near my Apple Store, can this puppy find me since the 5.0 update.

I ended up in a VERY bad neighborhood in a strange city this weekend because location services in 5.0 couldn't find me worth squat. I also use the Amtrak app and I lost 25 or so station check-ins because I was on 5.0 instead of 4.3.5, which worked like a charm.

My roommate is like you after hearing me trying to get things working.

But, I will retort right back that the stuff I am having issues with are all optional that if you don't want to take advantage of, will not affect you (if you do not want to synch over wi-fi or use the iCloud or deal with iCloud backups you don't have to and you won't have to deal with the mess). In fact, everything I"ve seen people have issues with are stuff that are optional that if you didn't care about them you'd see no affect by changing to iOS 5.

What you will notice is far better notifications and a better notification screen if you choose to upgrade and don't do anything new. Which to me is worth it all by itself (and I was not one who was complaining about the old notifications though there were a few things I found annoying but not enough to worry too hard about, but the people who were vocal were right, this is far better). As well as if you choose to try to get wireless synching up, that rocks as well (but if you don't want to worry that it may be a hassle, you can just keep connecting to your computer *shrug*).

So honestly, I really fail to see any reason to stay on iOS 4.
 
I am keeping my iOS 4.2.10 (Verizon) for awhile. I wanted to jump on the update bandwagon right away, but even I know that initial software releases have no shortage of issues. So, I am glad I came here to see what others were experiencing, and now I will gladly wait for 5.1 or 5.2 to show up. And, I had not intended to upgrade to Lion anytime soon either.
 
I wish I had waited with my iPad 2 because of all the bugs and issues with the music app. Frankly if it were easy to roll back I'd have done it already. Hopefully they will fix the problems very soon.
