I’m upgrading. My original pair are pretty closing to being in their last leg with usability as the right one now longer works on phone calls (lots of static/noise) and my left one is starting to have issues too. I use mine for several hours each day for work so they’ve seen their fair share of use. Was about to order a new pair anyways but held out as the rumors for version 2 being released got more real. Glad I did and will have them by next Friday.

I got a new replacement like 2 months ago so I am in the middle of deciding. Not sure whether I should wait for the current one's battery to die down. If I can sell it for a good value then I will upgrade instantly, main reason being the touch volume control.

I am.

My launch day AirPods Pros were replaced under the repair program last month. I will use those for outdoors and the gym.

I'm upgrading and my only reason is that I want a new pair as my current ones dont seem to be holding charge for as long as they did.

Mine are about a year old, they work fine but got the Gen 2 hoping for better ANC. Going on a flight a few days after I receive them so this will be a good test. If not, they will go back. They must be damn good to justify paying for price for them when the Gen 1 have been selling for a significant discount for a while now.

My gen one’s are over 2 years old. Still good but old. I’ll get the new ones and either sell or keep the old ones as backup.

I am. I need better battery life, the current ones die too fast for me. And better noise cancellation and sound quality is going to be exciting to have.

Better ANC for pro 2 is ********. Pro 1 was dead silence when it was released. Now they re-introduce that FW and says Pro 2 has better ANC? :)

Although I just bought my Pro's last year and they've been great, the better sound quality, touch controls and ANC are tempting (even though it was there on the OG). If I don't see much of a difference I'll send them back, I got spoiled in trying the WF-1000XM4s on sound quality...

I will. I love noise cancellation. So useful. They claim 2x as effective. That's considerable. Then, they sound better, apparently.

Still hospital white. Why? LOL

I just ordered a pair.

I spend a lot of time on the subway/underground system where I am which is really loud. The original AirPods Pro work decently well at noise cancellation, but could always do with more/better noise cancellation on my commute.

Plus some shops where I am seem intent on blasting music at high volume, so again better noise cancellation is a good thing for me.

The last thing that pushed me towards getting a pair of the new AirPods Pro was while I was on the treadmill earlier, watching Disney+, and wanted to change the volume level. The adjustable volume would make doing this so much easier - and this is a fairly common scenario for me.

I guess I'll try it out for 2 weeks and see if it really is that much of an improvement over my original AirPods Pro. On paper sounds good though!

Purchased them but if the sound quality isn’t a significant upgrade or the listening mode I’ll return

“Up to 2x”. Don’t get hopes up too high.
Well, it would be sort of hard to tell anyway. And the cancellation is most likely highly selective, so I would think certain types of sounds would be suppressed 2x, while it being not as effective elsewhere, do to the nature of imperfect tech.

We shall see.

I am upgrading, I like the new case - watch charger chaging options - and the improvements to the AirPods themselves are also good. Like the touch volume control.
