The 5 was my first brand new purchase iPhone. But a year later I steadfastly refused to upgrade to the 5s because Apple started with that whole Space Gray stuff instead of black. Black was one of the reasons I went with the 5 to begin with, so that's why.

Of course when full black actually returned, I was still objecting to the camera bump. I own nothing between my 6s+ and my 11PM.

Yeah I had the slate five but I passed that along to a buddy when I got the 5s. I think I prefer the jet black 7 but it’s a close one.
