Well, yesterday was quite the exciting day. I managed to make headlines (front page of the Columbus Dispatch) and I was also on 10TV. Anyone else get on the news or anything? Post a picture if you did!

Enjoying that "8 megabyte" phone? :) :)

I was in the chronicle a few days before the iPhone was released. I seem to be a reporter's "go to Apple girl" whenever he needs an opinion. My fourth or fifth time in--related to Apple goodness.

San Diego

Fellow MacRumors member and all around great guy skinnylegs and his beautiful daughter somecalifemme (with cute baby that stole all the attention!) brought the now infamous iPhone iCake posted in the "iPhone Purchaser: San Diego" forum - it was probably the most photographed and videotaped cake in history.

Yours truly (voicegy = real name Scott) got top billing, as well as member skinnylegs, on Sign On San Diego. Check it here - just gotta put up with the 30 second commercial in front of it:

Also, on the Apple site / iPhone section they've devoted some space to 'day one' pictures from several Apple stores - the only four cities they have pictures from (official Apple representative pictures, not pictures sent in by the general public) are Chicago, Miami Beach, New York....and San Diego! Not even LA is in the list - I'm surprised how much we "rated" with them...and I'm in a couple of those shots in the background:

My friends and I were on EVERY news channel in Toledo, OH... and I was even interviewed on the radio!

That was such a fun day.

Toledo! I moved down to Wilmington, NC from there. Did you catch the bridge opening?

Anyhow, I was #1 in line here in Wilmington (waited 19 hours...I'm starting to wonder if I was the 2nd longest waiter besides that douche in NYC), and I got on 2 news stations here (WECT (live) and WWAY (recorded)) and also got front page digs in the newspaper. When the door was about to open I had so many cameras (video and still) in my face it was like I was a celebrity.

I had so much fun. That's me on the far left in the white Sharks t-shirt...hehe

Haha, that's awesome. Yeah, I sure did. I used to work for WTOL News 11 as a photog so I'd always be out catching the stuff going on.

That's great...WTOL was amongst my most-watched stations outside of NBC. I still can't believe how much Westgate is changing...I used to live right there at Hampshire Heights. I can't wait to drive the bridge when I'm back home...hopefully I will later this month!

Small world w/ the iPhone bringing people together...haha...
