You don't need TRIM on Sandforce controllers. You may need backups but speed will not be affected by the lack of TRIM. Unless you fill it up over 90%. Then nothing can help.
Nice that it's bootable but to be honest I wonder if it will do any good for booting compared to a Samsung 830 or OCZ Vertex 4 et.c. which doesn't reach the bottleneck for sata2 on small file read/writes anyway.
For large files and photoshop scratch etc. it's a beast though, really great. But then it has to fight with the angelbird and even ocz revodrive x2 which you can get for "decent" pricing.
Interesting none-the-less. And very, very cool
(I'm really looking forward to the ocz thunderbolt drive which will be totally sata-less, it's going to bring this kind of performance to laptops)
I'm thinking that I can add this to my upgrade plans...while it is $70 more than a bare 240GB Mercury Pro 6GB SSD, by the time one adds an adaptor sled for mounting an SSD into an optical bay, the price gap isn't really worth worrying about.
