But I thought the more announcements refer to other non Apple third party announcements?

Probably. I doubt it'll be any whiz-bang hardware. But you gotta leave a little hope for the fanatics so they won't try to hang themselves with their MagSafe cables. Of course, the cable pops out under pressure, so it wouldn't wokr anyway... But still.
