Whoops - we should update our graphics

Looks like someone (Apple) forgot to update the iSync button graphic for panther.
The new panther metal look does not have the striping anymore (similar to "slate" found in Longhorn previews).
Got a GIF of it in action as i sync my phone and mac:

Does not look like this on my PowerBook which came with Panther pre-installed. Did you upgrade from Jaguar by any chance?

My iSync in Panther still retains the brushed metal look... I did upgrade from Jag on my work PM, but I'll check on my PB when I get home as well, as Panther was preinstalled...

Hey - I did do an upgrade but looking closer now - safari is like the "proper" metal and yet address book and isync are not.

same here and I installed panther several ways. are you sure you are not using an early panther beta?

Hey, I like the unbrushed look better. It's less visually noisy. How can I switch to it?

FTM, I would like the teak look, frosted glass look, or the Italian marble look better. I'd like the malachite look too. But not the beige plastic look.

this is wierd - i just rebooted my mac and violá - all fixed. Very very weird. I had been running it for about a week without a restart.

oh well - thanx for your help guys. If i ever find out what did it I will let you guys know.

The un-brushed look is nicer for a while. Trust me - it wears on you and thats why i noticed it wasnt correct. You see - It eventually get to you -- as you can guess and have seen in past threads (search for metal finder with pre-panther dates) I run about four or five metal apps at once so it gets very very very annoying.
