Figured it would be a little lighter to have a thread that shows that Apple's computer CAN and DO work occasionally....

Here's my uptime on my i7! It wants me to reboot for Safari update, but I refuse. :D :D

As of 8:42am PST, March 16, 2010:

I guess currently I have the longest uptime of anyone in this thread! :p

Right boys, whip 'em out!

<sound of zippers going down>

I turn off my computer when I'm not using it.

My record is 18 days and ~10 hours. I only shut it down or reboot when an update asks for it or if I know that I'm not going to use it for at least 24 hours. I also reboot if I've installed something big or if I need to clear my RAM

In this case, it's definitely not a matter of length, it's all about how you use it. :D

Myself, I reboot about three or four times a week, because I use Bootcamp. The longest it's been in OS X is maybe a week, and the vast majority of that was in sleep mode.

My Alu iMac tops out at about two weeks. Any time after that something crashes and I have to force reboot it. My Xp box has gone 107 days between restarts once.

The dual G5 i have at work once went 3 months before I finally gave in and installed all pending updates.
