Whose PISSED OFF regarding Apple Podcast on 14.5?

This has got to END. I do not want to use Google Podcast or Overcast. I want a privacy-minded Podcast app that works. WITHOUT unneeded features.

Also... why do they feel the need to have so many rows on the Listen-Now page with recommendations? But only one row dedicated to the podcast we are subscribed to?

What’s wrong with podcast? I‘ve had more problems with Overcast than Apple and Overcast is the one people prefer but to me UI is horrible.

I stopped using Apple podcasts years ago due to terrible syncing issues between devices, and UI now seems unintuitive to me,

Love pocketcasts! at least once you get used to all the options, it has a lot. It used to have lots of syncing issues but seems to work great now. It's best feature is how easy it is to quickly build a playlist on the fly, to queue episodes for the car or just around house, just slide on an episode to queue up, it's great! and UI is by far best of any of them, joy to use (imho)

Overcast has best syncing out of all of them, but I just cannot like the UI, and stacking episodes to play next is pretty bad in my experience, at least compared to pocketcasts, it's frustrating. I don't use apple watch, but reading about Overcast watch support, it seems like current version has a very nice implementation, if I used apple watch I would check out overcast more.
 
I like the new visual look.
I wish it would actually sync between devices, it annoys me I listen in my car get home go straight to my hobby room and it restarts the podcast on my HomePod.
also the library should display the most recent episodes rather than most recently subscribed, like seriously how is this a metric that anyone cares about?
I’m not pissed off but rather mildly irritated.
 
They removed features from the Podcasts app and for podcast listeners like myself it's a hot mess. Must have been updated just to "do something" or they relegated this development to the B team.
 
I’m pretty annoyed that they basically ruined a perfectly good app…

The new interface isn’t any better, for me it’s worse. I liked having last update as the top shown podcasts not last subscribed - that’s just stupid.

They also don’t update properly, episodes available on other platforms are not showing on Apple’s app, which is going to drive people away pretty quickly unless they fix it.

The other issue I’ve experienced is using the app with Apple CarPlay, it will often forget what episode you are listening to if it’s one you’re not subscribed to and just start playing one that you are. Again, broken.
