I think part of it is M1 and its unified memory architecture is still new and largely unoptimised, but when there’s a game I’m really obsessed about and really want to get on the Mac, I pester the hell out of everybody - developers, publishers, their Discords, YouTubers who interview them, and try to talk up how much of a fan I am, and how great a fit their game would be on the Mac.

Sad too cuz the chip is clearly capable. Been playing unnative LoL and it runs smooth as butter, same with WoW and other games. I think it could easily handle something like Overwatch as well, but it'll just never be an option. Sucks too cuz it always ran hot and loud af on my Bootcamp install, but it'd probably run cool and quiet in MacOS with the M1...and that's a game changer for gaming (especially mobile gaming) imo.
