I have been on apple music since it was released and thought I had properly configured it to specify my music preference but still I find myself bombarded with mando and canto pop rubbish. I am based in Hong Kong and my itunes is regionally locked to Hong Kong (credit card etc) but there must be a way to get rid of certain genres I will never have an interest in?
Also noticed that I cant randomly shuffle all my songs or am I missing something? At the moment the only work around I found is to make a playlist with all my songs or ask siri to do it.

I have the same problem. I live in Germany and have very little interest in German music, yet I get a lot of German suggestions. Annoying, yes, but I suspect it is impossible to get rid of it. Apple assumes that when you live in a country, you come from that country and like that country's music.

It gets even worse. I have some japanese artists in my library, and I get suggestions for japanese artists out of genres that I have no interest in. But hey, apparently because I like japanese ska, japanese new age must be just right for me, and I am surely interested in japanese string quartets.

And yes, the shuffle-all-songs issue is a common complaint. I think you have already found the only workarounds.

Well, anyway, today Apple Music suggested a "Gay Anthems" playlist to me. I am reminded of that King of Queens episode where Spence's Tivo suggested all those "gay" shows to him. I wonder what made Apple Music think I am gay? I did listen to some Madonna, and I do have stuff by Abba and the Scissor Sisters in my library.

Perhaps I should get divorced and rethink my lifestyle choices. ;)

I'm bombarded with suggestions I don't want to see which are probably coming from the old music in my iTunes library that goes back to 2001 when my music tastes were very different.

I know how to tell AM I don't wan't to see these suggestions on my iOS devices. But how do you tell it you don't like these suggestions on the Macbook or PC?

I'm finding that a lot of songs are getting hearted incorrectly. I was getting nothing but playlist from Apple Music Hip Hop and R&B, and not from the kind I like. I started going into the playlists and saw that I had hearts on songs I never would have hearted. A lot of lil wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, etc.

The "I Don't Like.." never really did anything for me, and I would do it on every playlists I got. When I found out that I had incorrect hearts, I went into the playlists and unheated whatever was hearted. Still, I know there must be a lot of hearted songs on Apple Music that don't come up in those playlists. It's frustrating that I can't see what's liked, I just have to come across it.

I also started aggressively liking songs in my library and that helped. I usually listen to full albums and would only heart the album, but that only had an impact on the album recs, not the playlists. It's still not perfect but much better.
