Sometimes when typing on iPad Pro 11 3rd gen numbers appear in the txt
is there anyway to stop the numbers which occupy the same key as the letters I meant to type .

The only explanation is that you are unintentionally touching the numbers enabling buttons [.?123] at the bottom right and/or left of the on-screen keyboard.
As far as I am aware there is no way of locking those keys.

Or they are swiping/flicking the letter key.

Settings > Keyboard > Key Flicks. Turn that off.

Or Might look to see if there are any alternative keyboard out there where the letters don't share space with other characters. Quick search shows that, for example, Microsoft has a keyboard with just letters on the letter keys.
