General Why are a lot of widgets still not filling the width of screens?

Take a look at this one example of a very popular football app called onefootball.

The news is not inline and i know myself I'm not a developer, but how hard can it be to have them span the width of notification centre?

You should contact the developer and ask them.

My understanding is that Apple guidelines still encourage the left margin. I prefer 'full width' widgets also. For an app you like/need, definitely request from developer to make the change.
