For the most part I love my AirPods. I just wish I could wear them all the time. The reason why I can’t is because when a call comes in it’s unbelievably loud to the point where I need to rip my AirPods out of my ear because it hurts. I have my phone on silent as well and it still does this. I tried adjusting my volume for headphones but it still does this and doesn’t affect the AirPods! Is anyone else having this issue? I feel like if I keep wearing these things I’m going to go deaf. Apple really needs to figure out a separate control for the ring volume for the AirPods. If anyone knows a trick to this please let me know.

Agreed. It’s also a problem when playing music in our vehicles (CarPlay) recently. When a call comes in, the ringer scares the bejesus out of everyone. Way too loud.

It’s a new thing. We’ve never had this problem before. Yesterday I attempted to find a quieter ringtone even I don’t want to change the one I’ve been using since forever. None of the existing ringtones are quiet enough though. Now I’m missing calls because I’ve got it shut off. Hope this gets fixed soon

Glad I’m not the only one! They should have a fix for this already!
