I upgraded my iPad to IOS5 and activated iCloud. Now I can only view my iPad contacts by typing a name into Spotlight. The Contact then opens with all the details on the right hand side of the address book but the left hand page is blank. I can't scroll to other names...have to retype another name into Spotlight to bring up another contact. Nothing works...syncing with iCloud (now disabled), syncing with iTunes etc. Help!

Do you mean when the address "book" opens? There is nothing in RH (or LH) corner...the page contains only Contact's details and a live EDIT button at bottom LH corner.

Yeah, once you have your address book open if you click on the red bookmark ribbon looking tab on the top right (says groups on it), do you have multiple groups in there that your contacts might be hiding in?

I remember that feature from before. However, since doing the upgrade and activating iCloud my 'normal' address book seems to have disappeared and even when I tap the Contacts button on the home page it simply opens to this simplified book form. There is no other way I can view my original list of Contacts. My Contact list was also wiped on my PC but I was able to copy it back from the iCloud Contacts. I am now too scared to sync my iPhone 4s in case I lose everything on that too. Very stressful!

Here's a pic....hopefully I've attached it correctly. Also, when I update a contact on my PC and sync with my laptop the change isnt reflected on my iPad.
