Why are fullscreen YT videos cropped like this in Safari?

Been having this issue since 10.11.1. Anyone else seeing this in Safari? I don't have Flash installed.

happening for a lot of us. for now, click on the video, or the timeline, & should go to fullscreen. btw, there's a thread on this already... (just mentioning)

Usually taking it out of full screen and then back into full screen works for me.

really, you can shortcut that; just click on the video image and it should go to fullscreen...

I noticed that if I pause and resume the video it fixes it. Pretty annoying.

Happens under 10.10.5 as well, and seems to be a YouTube issue because I'm pretty sure that I didn't change anything when it started happening. I've used YouTube's feedback thingy, but it'll probably help if more people submit similar comments.

It's been happening to me for months now, but not on YouTube, just Twitch.
So annoying.

I also had this issue and thought it was a problem with my GPU, to fix it I had to click on the trackpad, but since the latest Safari update, I haven't had any problem, I was very worried about it (My computer has Applecare) Thanks to OP, now I found out it is a known issue, I am not worried anymore
