Why are my "On The Phone" notes being synced to my "On My Mac" notes and Vice Versa?

WHAT THE CRAP!

So I created notes on my iphone under the "On My Iphone" section thinking that my notes will stay on my iphone only

I have noticed that for some reason they are being sync to my "On My Mac" notes as well and vice versa

I want my notes to stay on my phone only and my mac notes to stay on my mac only.

I have icloud notes turned on but I"m not creating notes under the "Icloud" section within notes, so why are my notes being synced?

Why is it syncing in this manner and how can i stop it? I want certain notes to NOT be in the cloud and synced

I believe this is the way it works when you have Notes turned on under iCloud in System Preferences on your Mac. As far as choosing which notes, I'm not sure you can do that. It appears to be an all or nothing selection. Maybe someone else has a solution?

That is weird because of ofcourse there is a section for ICLOUD NOTES and then it says ON THE IPHONE NOTES(notes stored on iphone) but those are syncing with my ON THE MAC NOTES.

Those notes are not in icloud as I checked, my icloud notes are only in the cloud from what i seen when I checked

I would guess they are syncing through iTunes.

I have to say that Notes treating "On My iPhone" as a iCloud synced folder is really weird, if that is indeed what is occurring.
