Why are N5's $500 on CL?

Just out of curiosity and boredom sitting in my office with no one here on xmas eve I was looking at CL for Nexus 5 phones. There are a lot of 32gb ones for $500, and 16gb ones for $400-$450. I'm just wondering why? There is no backorder, Google has them shipping in 1-2 days. Is anyone buying these at those prices?

People are ridiculous. Phone isn't worth that much.

What's awesome is that the better LG G2 is much cheaper. I've seen some AT&T ones for sub-$300 prices

Not everyone can buy from Google Play Store because it's not available on their country. Then the only way to buy it is from eBay and such.

IDK but you would have to be a fool to buy it for that price.

I can understand someone wanting to buy one for $400. Sure they are 350, but after tax and shipping mine was 388. And if you want faster shipping it really is 400 after tax. So you pay 400 and then you can get it that day if the seller is willing.

Plus the 16GB Black is still backordered. It won't ship for over a week from now.
