I just don't get it, is it that hard to program an app? Most people have smartphones now, it is the number one way people access the Internet. Do these big companies just not give a crap because they know they'll make money regardless? It's so frustrating. I just downloaded Indeed's app and it was horrible. The worst by far are Facebook and Twitter though, my god are they terrible. Almost unusable.

Facebook I agree with..well, it's nowhere near unusable but it is slow and choppy.

However, I don't at all see how Twitter could be classified as "unusable."

Twitter to me is worse than Facebook now. It used to be great. It has gotten worse with every update. The feature that allows you to side scroll between pages is extremely disruptive, when scrolling through my feed I constantly am jittering from side to side. The search function has been needlessly broken into two sets of results, the default being the less complete set. It also searches for different words than what you type in sometimes. You now have to pull to refresh 2-3 times. The new profile layout is horrendous. I could go on but you get the point.

I don't experience any of what you mentioned with Twitter. And even if I did, that's more of an annoying inconvenience, not totally unusable.

Add to the list - eBay now hides seller information, specifically "ask seller a question" and requires you to click a drop down menu to reveal it. It's not just one isolated instance, it's a pattern of poor design changes that negatively impact usability.
