Evanescence perfect example. It has the fallen album yet is missing 3 songs "Bring Me To Live", "Everybody's Fool", and "My Immortal".

Noticed the same thing, must be to do with licensing.

Its extremely frustrating. They can license every other song on the album but these specific 3? So strange, I hope these holes get plugged. It has been like this since the inception of Spotify and I was hoping Apple Music would of helped resolve the issue.

Hopefully Apple will keep on signing the independent record labels. For me Deadmau5 label hasn't signed or not signed the UK side of Apple Music. Which I'm disappointed about.

I've seen these songs missing on other streaming services. So it's definitely a rights issue with people refusing to license those particular tracks from albums for streaming. It is annoying. It's more annoying later though when tracks that used to be on Apple Music get removed, and you can no longer play them. And it will happen, I've been paying for streaming for years and the problem has existed on every single service. My Spotify playlists all have more than dozens of tracks that are no longer playable due to licensing issues.

But i can't understand what logic is behind this. It's an album from one band which, of course, was recorded by that band, so why from say 12 tracks 7 are unavailable. What kind of retarded licencing issue is this?

It's not a licensing thing. It's a bug. People have been saying sometimes if you play the song before the greyed out one it suddenly appears after! Also sometimes the track isnt greyed out on other devices. There are other threads on here about it and it has been reported to Apple.
