Why can't I check my emails on iCloud.com from my iPad?

It gives me an option to set up iCloud, but I already did that in the settings of the iPad. All I want to do is check my emails from Safari on the iPad through iCloud.com. Is this possible?

Thanks. Didn't expect that to be the case. Usually web mail is accessible from anything with a browser.
