So this is a very simple question that I hope has a simple answer.

Why can’t my Apple Watch forward emails?

I’ve tried several email services other than Apple Mail including Outlook, Spark, Airmail but none of them have the option to forward Mail.

This is quite frustrating as I use Apple Watch with cellular and it appears the only way to forward mails is with the iPhone, meaning I can’t be completely uncoupled from it.

Any thoughts on this much appreciated.

That’s just the way it is and as for the reason why, it’s not known. I’m sure Apple could make something up about a backend issue nobody could prove but just chalk it up to another limitation of watchOS.

I’ve noticed this as well. The fact that not even the more popular 3rd party apps have implemented this could mean that forwarding emails is simply not so common?
