I have noticed this strange issue since last week....
both my old 13 Pro and new 14 Pro Max stopped asking me for my passcode. they don't even ask for it after I reboot the phones. (!!!) When I turn on the phone by tapping on the screen, the FaceID lock icon goes from locked to unlocked... I swipe up and go to my home screen. However, if I completely cover the front camera area, it still lets me in by just swiping up.
No, I didn't remove the passcode because AppleCard still asks for it when I pay my monthly payments. I had it set up so the passcode had to be entered before submitting payment on the phone.
I contacted Apple and the tech guy told me that I should try to reset both phones to factory default and start fresh to see if that helps.
Just wanted to ask if anyone has seen this issue before I take the drastic step of resetting both phones...
Thanks!
