Why did I get IOS 16.7 on my Iphone 13???

Just went to sw update and got 16.7 on my iphone 13. I see that it is eligible for 17, why wouldn’t I get that update? How can I get it? Will it should up later??? thanks! Donna

Apple doesnt force you to upgrade to the next major version, 17.0 in this case, until you want to initially, you have to choose to upgrade to ios17 for now. They do still keep releasing 16.X updates though and you will get those automatically if enabled.
