I'm a huge fan of AirPods, but why do they consistently have the same issues over the years? Specifically, usually shortly after the warranty expires (sometimes earlier) one of the AirPods becomes quieter. It's a known issue that has been around for years, including the latest gen. 3 version. I bought probably five AirPods for my kids over the years, so this is from my personal experience.

Another issue is with the Pro model, which I use every day. Apart from the Find Me feature being basically useless, the widget that should show the battery level of the case basically doesn't work. Sometimes it works, but then it stops updating the battery status and it's a pain the make it work again.

How is it useless? I just dropped my APP2 when shopping and have a time to check my iPhone half an hour later. By that time I’m like 5 km away and I turned back, checked Find My, saw where it is. Walked to that, ping it and voila, retrieved it.
Without it my AirPods Pro would have been lost.

Have no problem with its widget.

I couldn't get the Sony WF-1000XM4s to stay on my ears, regardless of which eartips I used. They're just too heavy and kept falling out. Plus they're nowhere near as easy to connect as Airpods. The Bose ones were like £349, so a lot more expensive. Plus I got a £80 gift card when I bought my iPad so that went towards the APP2s, so they ended up costing just £160 or something.

I found the APP1s to be better for sound quality than the Sonys. Nothing at this level is anywhere near 'audiophile' level, but if you listen in quiet environments, the APP1s definitely sounded more relaxing and a little more refined. That's just my ears though. For day to day general use out and about, especially in noisy environments, I don't think there's much in it.

Oh wow, I've had my AirPods 3rd Generation for two years and they've recently become quiter. I was going to ask but it looks like it's a recurring problem. Are there any fixes to this?
