Ever since upgrading to ElCapital 10.11.3 I have been getting this false message.
It occurs while my iMac 27" 5K is sleeping and the messages sometimes come in about once an hour, although there is no time stamp on the message.
I know that Time Machine doesn't update while the iMac is asleep, but it looks like these message have something to do with that because of the one hour frequency of the messages.
I am using a Seagate 2 TB external USB3 disk for the Time Machine backups. It has it's own power supply, so it isn't getting starved for power from the iMac USB.
The external drive passes all of the Disk Utility tests.
Rebooting doesn't make a difference.
I don't know what to look for in the system logs.
Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot or fix this?
Thanks,
veehb
