Is there a way to change the Reminders notifications to get the easy one-click complete option back, rather than now having to click on Options first and THEN click Complete? I don't understand the reasoning behind this change, as nothing new is added. They've just made it more inconvenient! 🤷‍♂️

I use a 16" MacBook Pro and hate how the little X close button is so small. I've actually changed a bunch of notifications that I used to like to dismiss myself to disappearing automatically. Hope I don't miss anything

That's a good point - not only did they make it harder to "complete" a reminder, they also removed the "ignore" button, relegating it to a tiny "X" instead (why not have both?)

Well, I'm happy for the commiseration, but I'm guessing there's no away around this until Apple decides to revert back to the old style, huh? The ONLY possible reason I can think of for this change is that users were complaining to Apple that they were accidentally clicking on "Complete" - so now the "Options" menu serves as a safety against that? I personally never had that issue, but who knows... Of course, a System Preferences option for this would solve it, but that doesn't seem to be Apple's MO for most things (options? who needs options?!)

They learned from the EU. We just love to click on everything a thousand times a day?

Turn off notifications, problem solved.

I like a lot of what Big Sur brought to the table but I have no idea why they decided to change the way notifications work. They just made it so much more difficult to interact with all notifications with no obvious benefit. It's not even clear how to interact with notifications at all anymore. This needs to be changed soon.

I don't think even that much thought went into it. The crappy little x and the tiny dropdown are afterthoughts to something that was designed for a touch interface and then very half-assedly ported over to the Mac.

This overall is my huge beef with Big Sur: it feels like the Mac is getting sloppy seconds from iOS and iPadOS.
