Maybe it is too late to ask this question, why do all people hide Serial Number when they show "About This Mac"?
What will be happened if I dnon't hide my Serial Number?

The general rule is not to put any personal information on the web where it can be used by bad actors. License plate number, real name, address, device serial numbers, etc. The serial number could be used by a scammer on ebay. Buyer asks for serial number, they give them yours which checks out. They then ship a stolen phone with a different serial number.

It is for iPhone, is it possible for a Mac machine?
