I use a macbook pro 13", im in college, and I dont take my laptop to class because once i add in all my books and the process of dealing with my laptop it pretty much gets the F that vs ye olde 3 ring...

the iPad definitely looks like something i can take to classes and around campass, as well as whip out and use discreetly and comfortably.. i feel like the air does this, but taking pro out is definitely a process, and its a bit weighty IMO.

You need one so you can read all the many replies you get to this thread in the next few months.

Also since you are in college you can use it to play quarters on.

Discrete and ipad do not go in the same sentence. Unless that sentence is "I hate being discrete about how I love to waste money, so I bought an ipad"

I like the quarters idea.

Is it cool or sad that I remember reading the thread when you decided to make "Just remember, windows users aren't really people, so don't listen to them. -racer1441" your sig?:p

I bring my laptop to my university as well but I never use it in class (very useless in physics and astronomy during lectures, pencil & paper all the way). Outside of class when hanging out on campus I essentially use my laptop to do anything the iPad can do. So it would probably be perfect.

Ah, the memories. I feel like we have bonded now.

Nobody "NEEDS" an iPad. Some will find it a useful tool. I'm struggling with the decision since it overlaps my iPod Touch and my laptop so much. Do I really need a 3rd device?
