iPhones can be really confusing and intrusive.

For example, I do not want to share my contact info in iMessages. I do not want to share that I'm in Do Not Disturb mode. I do not what share read receipts. I certainly do not want to share my location.

In calendar, I do not want people to invite me to stuff.

When I'm on my Mac, I do not want my iMessages showing up on there.

Who knows what else I'm missing?

Please help me lockdown my info

It is the way it works, people fin it convenient.

Best for you to use a landline or meet face to face.

There are compromises with everything you door.

So instead of Apple making it easier to make sure my info isn't being shared...I should just stop using one and use a landline? Come on.

I'm seeking genuine help here. I've listed the things that concern me and I believe I'm OK.

But what else is there? I want to make sure my privacy is setup right

You should have been prompted asking if you want to share these when the features first became available. You can review/change your settings for these in Settings -> Messages.

I don't think there's anything you can do here. It's like asking how to stop people from emailing you. Turning off Calendar in iCloud settings might work, but then your calendar won't sync between all your devices.

Thank you. What else is there privacy wise?
