I uploaded an image of what I'm trying to explain. Have a look at the bottom row where my new downloads keeps stacking on top of each other http://imgur.com/a/UPVku
I tried everything that I know but it always goes back to this problem.
My Finder setting are set to "Sort by: Snap to Grid" and "Arrange by: None".

Use a different Sort by (not Snap to Grid)

Another solution would be to use list view, instead of icon view.

List view is horrible to look at in my opinion and I tried using other Sort By but its still the same problem :/

Have you tried reversing those settings? I would do that first.

What is your OS version?
I'm on macOS Sierra 10.12.1. I dont get what you mean by reversing? I tried different setting but its still the same problem.

Yes, try using a sort that does not use snap-to-grid. If it gets messy, then just choose "Cleanup", or your choice of "Arrange by" from the View menu. You shouldn't need to do that too much :D

You mentioned two settings. Make the first one what you had the second one set for, and vice versa.
I use Snap to Grid in Icon View all the time and do not have your issue.
